So hearing any sort of boom here and cars beeping crazily does not do one's nerves good. I looked outside to see a solid line of cars with flashers on going slowly down a main thouroughfare and beeping madly. Motorcycles were revving engines and weaving between cars. I thought it might be some sort of funeral or procession and there were some flares going off from the median between the cars (the noise and light of which had been my main concern and caused me to jump up) and there was a limo, so they must have just been trying to call attention to some important... something. The point of the story is it gave me a heart attack and went on for a good 5-10 minutes.
Students were walking outside like nothing was wrong, and no one seemed to be in the least concerned so I'm guessing there's no cause for it, BUT hearing the insane commotion from my room did nearly give me a heart attack! Gosh they shouldn't do things like that here, poor tourists who haven't a clue what's happening. Like me!
Now it's silent like nothing ever happened and I might be going crazy but I'm going to try and figure out what it was.
o.o; sounds scary...
